Forces Resettlement

SNE symposiums are recognised by the Career Transition Partnership as a valuable learning facility in enabling service leavers to make career decisions in whether they should pursue a career within the Private Security Sector. Forces leavers are able to claim back the cost of this event through their units as part of their resettlement allowance or standard learning credits. SNE will provide delegates with a receipt providing proof of meals and attendance. Speak to your unit resettlement officers or CTP for more info.

The Security Networking Events Ltd ethos has been designed with you, the potential forces leavers in mind. Its aim is to give you a good insight into the private security industry at one of our all day events held at various quality venues around the UK but predominately in London.

Before you make the life changing leap from the forces into the private security industry, we strongly advise you to invest some time into researching what you may be getting into. The SNE events will provide you with an honest evaluation of today’s private security sector and is the first events company of its kind to offer high quality symposiums specifically for forces leavers. We, the event organisers, have gone to great deal of effort to pull these events together with the aim of educating and informing potential forces leavers of the realities in today’s private security industry.
Before you commit to spending that precious resettlement money you have worked so hard to deserve on a private security industry related course, such as a close protection training course or Security consultancy course come along to our event and learn more about the industry you are aspiring to join. Hear from the security company representatives on the sort of person they are looking at recruiting, and what personal qualities, qualifications and experience they are looking for in today’s forces leavers. You will also hear from some of the UK’s most respected and recognised training providers within the industry who will be present to explain what types of training are relevant and available.

It is our belief that you should be master of your own trade before you can really be taken seriously when claiming to educate and advice others. This is the reason why our personal profiles have been published on the about us page on this website so you can see who we are, what our military back grounds are, and our experience in the private security industry. This is the reason why we have managed to persuade so many of the top security companies, associated industry experts, exhibitors and sponsors to come along and give you their time and knowledge at the different SNE events.

For many of you considering a career within the private security sector, the stark facts are that you may not be suited to a career in this very competitive and sometimes murky industry. By attending the day you will be better informed as to whether or not this career path is for you. If, after hearing and meeting the industry experts, you still truly believe that this type of work is for you, then you will be well equipped to plan your career path and enter the industry with a degree of confidence. If, on the other hand you come away realising that the private security industry is not for you then you will be able to research an alternative and more suitable career path.

We, the event organisers, are all ex-forces people and have been through the uncertainties that you may potentially face. Through hard work and some luck we have all managed to establish ourselves in the top end of this industry and we now hope to help any potential forces leavers thinking of taking the same journey.

Speak to your local Career Transitional Partnership (CTP) or resettlement officer for more information on our event, or contact us direct through our enquiries email or phone line. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on the event itself or on the private security industry in general.
